First of all, thank you St Peter and Breakout Philippines for hosting us. I was excited for days when I learned that I am part of the last group of bloggers to experience their collaboration.

I have some blogger friends who got invited and tried Breakout, and I can’t help but be jealous upon seeing their photos and hearing their scary yet fun stories.

Alas! Our time has come. Together with my friends, Nick Ronquillo, Duane Bacon, Michael Macalos and Karle Francisco, we all went to Greenbelt 5, and met Jeman Villanueva. We were advised to come at least 30 minutes early because of the mandatory orientation before the game. (We all were early except one, ahem Nick?)

Located at Greenbelt 5 Level 3, This branch features 4 exciting new rooms for your group to try out. We were not allowed to bring anything inside the room, so we left all our belongings secured in a box by the reception are.  I am sure most of us know how Breakout Philippines work. There are several mystery rooms to choose from, depending on what branch you are in.

So here we go!

Corpse Bride Backstory:

So it started with a happy newlywed couple in your neighbourhood who owns a dress shop.  It was a happy shop and people loved going there to have all their tailoring needs done.

However, one gloomy morning, the wife got ill, and died. With her passing, the husband became consumed by grief, he lost his passion for his craft and the store eventually closed down. And nobody saw him after that. The local patrons are confused and wondering what happened. Several questions arose like where have the husband gone? Why was there no funeral for the wife? What really happened to her? What if she is still alive?

So we went inside the room blindfolded. Mind you, it was creepy! So the task began. Armed with pure adrenaline, we tried solving the mystery. But due to restricted time (we were only given 45 mins) we ended up solving the mystery 99%. Not bad eh? They even allowed us to try the last task for us to see how the main door would open if we were able to solve it. Damn, if only we had 2 more mins!!!
